ELATO CHIEF FLAVOUR OFFICER COMPETITION  - TERMS AND CONDITIONS


1. General

1.1 The Elato Chief Flavour Officer Competition (“Contest”) is organized by Elato Pty Ltd, ABN 95 639 744 700, Level 1, 114 William Street, Melbourne VIC, 3000, phone 1800 986 1800 (“Elato”).
1.2 Information on how to participate in this Contest forms part of these Terms & Conditions. By entering, participants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
1.3 The Contest is a game of skill, and entries will be judged based on specific criteria outlined below.
1.4 (Subject to clause 6.4 below) Elato reserves the right to withdraw, modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest as necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.

2. Eligibility

2.1 The Contest is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over.
2.2 Employees of Elato, immediate family members, employees of any affiliated agency, and anyone professionally connected to the Contest are ineligible to participate.
2.3 “Immediate family” includes spouses, de facto partners, children, parents, grandparents, siblings, and first cousins.
2.4 Participants must be available to attend the flavour tasting session in Melbourne on a date to be confirmed.
2.5 If there is a dispute regarding a participant’s eligibility, Elato reserves the right to make the final determination.

3. How to Enter

3.1 To enter the Contest, participants must:
  • Become a subscriber to Elato's email if not already a subscriber
  • Purchase a tub of Elato.
  • Record a video (under 45 seconds) explaining why they should be the Chief Flavour Officer, and featuring Elato.
  • Upload their video to the entry site and complete the entry form.
  • Share the video on Instagram using #ElatoFlavour.
3.2 Each participant may submit one entry only. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
3.3 Entries must be received by 11:59 PM AEST on April 20, 2025. Elato may choose to extend the deadline.
3.4 Any incomplete, late, or misdirected entries will not be considered.

4. Judging & Winner Selection

4.1 The Contest is a game of skill, and winners will be selected based on:
  • Level of passion for ice cream
  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Entertainment value
  • Your impact on an audience, presentation skills and charisma as a content creator
4.2 Entries will be reviewed by a judging panel appointed by Elato. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.3 The winner and 10 runners-up will be announced on or before April 20, 2025, unless the Contest is extended.

5. Prizes

5.1 The Chief Flavour Officer winner will receive:
  • A 3-hour exclusive flavour tasting session at Elato HQ in Melbourne held anytime from July 2025 onwards. It is a condition that the winner travel to Melbourne for the tasting session with travel arranged by Elato.
  • $500 payment for participation
  • Opportunity to create paid content for Elato if requested by Elato
  • A year’s supply of Elato (four tubs per month for 12 months, delivered to an agreed address)
5.2 10 runners-up will each receive two free tubs of Elato delivered to an agreed address.
5.3 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

6. Prize Fulfillment

6.1 Elato will arrange and pay for winner to travel to Melbourne for the tasting session. 
6.2 The year’s supply of ice cream will be delivered monthly to an Australian address provided by the winner.
6.3 If a prize remains unclaimed for two days after notification, Elato reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.
6.4 Elato reserves the right to cancel the tasting session (including if travelling from interstate) if deemed necessary by Elato (after providing reasons) but all prizes will still be provided to the winner.

7. Use of Entries & Publicity

7.1 By entering, participants grant Elato a royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and share their video entry for promotional purposes.
7.2 The winner agrees to participate in media opportunities and social content related to the Contest, including interviews, social media features, and behind-the-scenes footage.
7.3 Entrants consent to Elato using their name, likeness, image, and voice (including photographs, film, and recordings) for an unlimited period without remuneration for promotional purposes related to the Contest.

8. Disqualification & Liability

8.1 Elato reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify participants who:
  • Submit false, unoriginal or incomplete information
  • Violate the Terms & Conditions
  • Use automated methods or third parties to enter
8.2 Elato reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the Contest in case of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to technical issues, unauthorized intervention, or fraud.
8.3 Except for any liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law, Elato and its affiliates are not responsible for:
Any late, lost, altered, or misdirected entries
Any technical malfunctions or disruptions affecting participation
Any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Contest or use of the prize

9. Privacy

9.1 Elato collects personal information for the purpose of administering the Contest. By entering, participants consent to their data being used for:
Prize fulfillment
Marketing, promotional, and research purposes
9.2 Elato may disclose information to third-party service providers but will not sell or share personal details without consent.
9.3 Participants may request access to or correction of their data by contacting Elato at info@elato.com.au.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
10.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
