We reviewed a mixture of 16 well known dairy and plant based Premium and Super Premium ice cream brands against Elato to see how all the brands compared. They were compared in two categories being either "great taste positioning" or "better for you" positioning. Some brands are in both categories based on the claims made on their websites about their products. Taste wasn't assessed as this is too subjective. The other features that are listed are factual (not based on opinion) and were also assessed from website content.

The data is calculated as an average out of 8 brands. It shows that on average the "better for you" brands have about half of Elato's 11 product features. The brands that are positioned as "great taste" have on average 2 product features compared with Elato's 11. On an individual score, the highest number of product features of any of the brands reviewed was 7 compared with Elato's 11. This brand was a "better for you" product. All data is accurate as at 16 March, 2021.
